Nothing Phone 2a mobile was launched on 5th March 2024. The phone comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate 6.70-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080×2412 pixels (FHD+) at a pixel density of 394 pixels per inch (ppi). It comes with 8GB, 12GB of RAM. The Nothing Phone 2a runs Android 14 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery. The Nothing Phone 2a supports proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Nothing Phone 2a on the rear packs a dual camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a 50-megapixel camera. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 32-megapixel sensor.
The Nothing Phone 2a runs Nothing OS 2.5 is based on Android 14 and packs 128GB, 256GB of inbuilt storage. The Nothing Phone 2a measures 161.74 x 76.00 x 8.55mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 190.00 grams. It was launched in Black and White colors.

Vapour Chamber
Balancing high performance with effective heat control, Phone (2a) incorporates an advanced liquid cooling system. The extra-large 3,200 mm² vapour chamber allows for faster heat dissipation by transferring it across the back of the device.
Sustainability
A product of products. Nothing has developed a brand-new recycling process in its manufacturing plant, which allows for plastic waste from the Ear (2) production line to be repurposed into Phone ( 2a ). Nothing has also maintained their commitment to plastic-free packaging, using recycled fibre instead. Phone (2a) itself also contains a number of recycled materials: 100% recycled aluminium is used in the mid-frame. 100% recycled tin on 6 circuit boards. 100% recycled copper foil on the main circuit board. Recycled steel on 22 steel stamping parts. Over 50% of the plastic parts are sustainably sourced.

The art of engineering
To further captivate interest, we’ve created a sense of symmetrical imbalance where the lower part of Phone (2a) is purposefully designed to disrupt the flow of the top. Here, the phone houses the battery, additional internal components, & a set of flexible printed circuits connecting the motherboard to the display, SIM card & USB type C port. This part was designed drawing inspiration from Massimo Vignelli’s New York subway map — a graphical exercise that turned an intricate chart into something simple & elegant. Turns out the complexity of routing trains is not so different from routing electronics. Pushing boundaries. Phone (2a) features an industry first: the 90° infinity back cover. Adds a dynamic new dimension to our iconic transparent design whilst enforcing the structural rigidity & overall durability of the phone. To assemble, we used an innovative dual compression.
